  • About the flight school

    Aero Locarno SA (also known as AELO Swiss Academy) is a recognised flight school based in Gordola near Locarno (Switzerland), which specialises in pilot training according to EASA standards. The location offers ideal conditions for training: numerous flight days a year thanks to good weather, a challenging terrain over the Alps as well as modern training tools such as aircraft and simulators.The focus is on integrated license courses that prepare prospective commercial pilots from zero for the “Airline” launcher.

    Costs

    In the integrated ATPL training, Aero Locarno offers a so-called “Fully Comprehensive Package”, which includes all training, examination and partly personal additional costs – such as flight hours, theory courses, accommodation and medical examination. Price indication: approximately € 99.700. It is important to note that, depending on individual requirements, additional expenses (e.g. Travel expenses, visas or additional hours may arise. An exact cost and service scope should be clarified directly with the school.

    Requirements

    In order to start pilot training at Aero Locarno, certain basic requirements must be met. This includes a valid EASA Class 1 medical certificate, sufficient language skills in English and/or German as well as an aptitude test or assessment center to determine the appropriate talent. In addition, the training for an integrated license does not necessarily require existing prior experience in flying – it is designed “from zero”. Physical conditions regarding vision, feeling of color or height are also examined.
