Overview

The flight school at the Aérodrome de Grenoble‐Le Versoud (ICAO code: LFLG) is located in Le Versoud near Grenoble in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, France. The terrain has an asphalt runway of 900 meters in length and a grass track – allowing take-offs and landings of both light powered aircraft and ULM. Several airlines, training providers and air sports groups are active at the airport. As a result, the Versoud offers a wide range of different pilot training courses, from ULM to powered flight to gliding and helicopter training.

Offer of training

The Versoud covers different aviation divisions:
– ULM flight (ULM pendulaire or multi-axle) via providers such as Alpes ULM or Passion ULM.
– Classic powered flight over clubs or Flight schools, among others through the local Aéroclub du Dauphiné or an association of several clubs and providers.
– Gliding over Grenoble Vol à Voile.
– Helicopter/helicopter training or flights via providers such as Mont-Blanc Hélicoptères (FHATO).
– There are also offers for trial flights and “discovery flights” or first flight experiences (“baptêmes de l’air / vols découvertes”) – ideal for beginners or interested parties.

Requirements

Depending on the selected design, the requirements differ greatly. For ULM and trial flights, no long-term experience is often necessary – interested parties can usually start directly with a briefing and an accompanied flight. For formal pilot training (powered flight, heli, gliding) usually standard requirements must be met: minimum age, medical fitness and, if necessary, theoretical and practical examinations – more details can be found at the respective school or provider at Versoud.

Costs

The flight school’s website does not provide a lump-sum total price for all training routes — since the costs vary greatly depending on the aircraft (ULM, aircraft, heli), the level of training and the level of flight hours or the number of flights. taster offers. Some providers publish prices for individual flights or trial packages. Thus, e.g. Offers for day trips or first flights with an instructor in the Grenoble region via companies on the Versoud.
