About the flight school
The flight school AIR LLOYD Flight Services GmbH Based in Bonn-Hangelar (Bonn-Hangelar Airport, Richthofenstraße 124, 53757 Sankt Augustin) is a company that has been active in the field of helicopter training and helicopter services for many decades.
The offer includes not only scenic flights and helicopter charters, but also a specialized training of private and professional pilots for helicopters. With more than six decades of experience, AIR LLOYD is one of the established training providers in Germany.
Offer of training
The flight school offers different license levels in the helicopter area. These include, for example, the private pilot licence PPL(H) and the commercial pilot licence CPL(H) or ATPL(H)/VFR.
The training is modular and includes both theoretical and practical parts. Part of the theory can be completed via a distance learning module (“eAcademy”), which offers high flexibility.
Costs
The costs depend on the chosen training path, the previous knowledge and the form of teaching. For the PPL(H) license, AIR LLOYD costs are in the range of approximately 35,000 € to 50,000 € plus. Value added tax.
For the commercial pilot licence CPL(H), or ATPL(H)/VFR calls the flight school about 139.000 € plus. Indicative costs and VAT.
Requirements
For PPL(H) training, you should be at the minimum age and be fit for flight health. At least one Class 2 medical certificate is typically required.
For the commercial pilot licence CPL(H)/ATPL(H)/VFR, the following requirements are specified: minimum age 17 years of age at the start of training, 18 years of age at the time of licensing; pre-existing PPL(H) licence; medical certificate class 1; first aid course certificate; background check (ZÜP); transport central register extract; where applicable. Radio communication certificate BZF I.
The modular training allows for part-time study or flexible design – an advantage for people who are already working.
