Overview of the airfield

The airfield Luftplatzgenossenschaft Hausen‐Oberamt (FGHO) with the location Hausen am Albis (ICAO code: LSZN) is located between Zurich and Zug and is established as a small airfield operated by cooperatives. The course is dedicated to both powered flight and glider flight — with a fixed infrastructure, including hangars, apron and a 700 m hard-covered runway that can be operated year-round.

Particularly relevant for glider pilots: The glider aerodrome is officially registered in the cantonal sports facility concept and recognized as a facility for glider clubs and schools.

Offer of training & Costs

Several gliding schools and clubs are stationed at Hausen airfield. These include Albis Wings, SG Knonaueramt, SG Skylark and other groups that offer training, club and leisure flights.

Conditions for participation

The aerodrome has the status “R” (restricted). This means that external powered aircraft are only allowed to land and take off with prior approval. Other regulations apply to sailplanes and members of the club – but all pilots must know and comply with the local rules, the operating regulations and the guidelines of the FGHO.

Those interested in gliding training should become members of one of the established clubs or flight schools, as they structure the training offer and provide access to aircraft. Continuous participation in training courses and, where applicable, Towing is subject to availability and the association or Place Regulars. In addition, pilots must meet the respective license and safety requirements.
