Overview of the flight school

The flight school Flying Academy is an internationally oriented training facility for aspiring professional pilots. It offers both theoretical and practical pilot training and presents itself with several locations – for example in the Czech Republic and the USA.

Although the school is not located directly in Germany, it is aimed at international students and enables an entry into the European market with its programmes. The presence of different locations makes it possible to flexibly adapt the training to the desired framework conditions – e.g. Theory phases online or practical phases abroad.

Conditions for training

In order to participate in integrated pilot training at the Flying Academy, applicants are usually required to be of age, have sufficient health fitness (e.g. Aviation Medical Class 1) and good English skills.

Since the school also offers programs that start at zero hours of practice (“0 → ATPL”), no or only little prior knowledge in flying is required. However, it is advisable to inform yourself at an early stage about medical requirements and possible selection tests.

Offer of training

The Flying Academy’s training program includes several programs – including an integrated ATPL education according to the EASA standard (“Integrated ATPL(A)”), as well as time building and modular options. One focus is on programs with full supervision from theory to practice to the so-called “Frozen ATPL”.

A typical offer is called “Integrated ATPL(A) – All inclusive Package”, which allows entry without a previous flight license and leads to a commercial pilot with ME/IR and MCC within about 14 months.

Costs of training

The exact cost of training at the Flying Academy is not fully publicly indicated on the website for all programs. As an orientation, however, for integrated ATPL training in Eastern Europe a typical budget of **approximately € 60,000 – € 80,000** applies.

Specifically, the price depends on factors such as the chosen location, the duration of training, the services included in the package (e.g. Accommodation, transport, examination fees) and any additional packages (e.g. Time Building in the United States. It is advisable to request an individual offer at the school.
