About the flight school
Location and orientation
The flight school Motorflugunion Klosterneuburg (ATO AT.ATO.117), based in Klosterneuburg near Vienna, is one of the recognized training organizations in the European aviation system. It offers modular flight training on aeroplanes – from single-engine private pilot licences to commercial pilot and scheduled pilot licences, including additional privileges.
Quality and means of training
It is trained on modern school aircraft and simulators (including FNPT II simulators), combined with distance and face-to-face training. The aim is to provide both recreational and prospective commercial pilots with sound, practical and safety-open training.
Target groups
The school is aimed at both those interested in learning to fly as a leisure activity and those who want to pursue a career in aviation. Special courses such as instrument flight, aerobatic flight, night rating or rewriting of US licenses are also on offer.
Offer of training
Licensing and rating offers
Included in the program are, among other things, classic licenses such as the private pilot license PPL(A), professional and line pilot license CPL/ATPL(A), as well as numerous ratings and class ratings (e.g. Night Rating, IR(A), MEP(A), SEP(sea)) and simulators
For theoretical and partial practice, a distance learning concept is offered in which learning materials are digitally available (e.g. eBooks, app access) and a large part can be completed online. Practical elements including simulator training complement the training programme.
Additional and specialised courses
In addition, there are refresher and further education courses such as aerobatic rating, UPRT (Upset Prevention) & Recovery training), “pinch hitter” for fellow pilots, license rewrites and much more.
