The airfield of the Flugsportverein Rosenheim is located in Brannenburg in the Bavarian pre-Alpine region – an ideal starting point for Alpine gliding. The location between Wendelstein, Kaisergebirge and Inntal offers the best conditions for thermals, slope winds and exciting route flight possibilities.
The course has a well-maintained grass slope and is operated by members of the association, which provide flight students and guests with a personal and family flying atmosphere. The location is particularly popular with pilots who want to gain their first experience in alpine gliding.
Offer of training
The FSV Rosenheim offers a wide range of training opportunities for aspiring pilots. In addition to classical gliding training, the programme also includes instruction on route flights close to the Alps, motor gliding operations and trial offers for interested parties.
Volunteer flight instructors and jointly organized flight days allow students to take first steps in air sports in a cost-effective and practical manner.
Requirements
For gliding training, young people can start as early as 14 years of age. There is no special school requirement, but teamwork and commitment are expected in the association – for example, during start-up operations, maintenance work or organizational activities.
If you only want to get a taste of it at first, you can get a first impression about guest flights before he or she decides for an education.
Costs & Fees
The costs at FSV Rosenheim are based on the usual association structures – volunteer flight instructors keep the fees significantly lower compared to commercial flight schools. In addition to admission and membership fees, there are costs for take-off types as well as flight times in gliding or powered gliding.

Approach:
Via the A93, exit Brannenburg/Flintsbach. Then follow the signs in the direction of Brannenburg, turn right to the gliding airfield shortly before the railway bridge.
