Find out everything about the Greiling airfield in Bavarian Pre-Alpine Land: gliding training, paraglider and dragon launches, costs.

Airfield Greiling – Overview

The airfield Greiling is located in the Bavarian pre-Alpine region and offers ideal conditions for the Alpine gliding. Due to the proximity to the first mountain ranges of the Alpine edge, pilots often benefit from excellent thermal conditions, which are particularly suitable for en route flights and mountain flying experiences. The course is operated by the air sports club Greiling and serves mainly sailplanes, paraglider pilots and dragon fliers as an active training and flight environment.

Offer of training

The club offers a wide range of opportunities to enter aviation sports for interested parties. These include, inter alia:
– Gliding training with winch launch
Introduction to Alpine gliding
– Dragon and paraglider winch launches
– theory lessons for aspiring pilots
Model flight training for beginners

All training courses shall be conducted under the guidance of experienced flight instructors. The association trains exclusively for its own sectors and thus offers a practical and personal education.

Costs

The costs depend on the training direction and the scope of use. Typically, there are membership fees as well as fees for start-ups, materials or lessons. Guest pilots and interested parties should ask in advance directly at the club for current prices, as these can vary depending on the season and division.
