The flight school
The SG Basel Fricktal gliding school is located at the Fricktal-Schupfart airfield – a popular gliding region near the German-Swiss border. Particular features of the school

Initial gliding training

Requirements
What should you bring?
Entry into gliding training is possible at a young age. The practical examination can be taken from the age of 16, but training can begin earlier. An aeronautical certificate shall be required before the first solo flight.
Physical requirements
In principle, any healthy person can start gliding training. With very large body size or higher body weight, there may be restrictions depending on the aircraft pattern. The flight school advises individually.

The flight school does not publish fixed package prices for the complete training, as the total cost depends on the individual learning progress, the number of starts and private additional requests.
