Balloon / Your Way to the BPL
Costs
Classify training costs, compare offers and calculate your own balloon budget.
Compare the entire training path. A favorable theory course and a complete pilot training are different offers.
Which scale is realistic?
Ballon Sachsen named on his training page 5,000 to 7,000 euros for theory, practice and examinations, depending on the individual training scope. This is a published provider orientation, not a general tariff or binding offer for 2026.
Other schools calculate theory, apprenticeship trips and utilities individually. The Ballonakademie Süd offers prices by agreement for BPL theory and practice. A written offer is therefore the best basis.

Your own budget calculator
All starting values are freely selected calculation examples in euro. Replace them with the prices of your offer. The calculator uses hours; let you explain how the school actually bills.
Invoice: (hours × hourly rate + theory + fees + additional costs) × (1 + reserve/100). A financial reserve does not replace additional training time.
After training
Also schedule current expenses: club or balloon use, fuel, insurance, maintenance, inspections, transportation and crew. A balloon is a separate budget. For the start, joint use in the association can be useful.
