YOUR PATH TO THE COCKPIT

ASW24

Single-seat competitive glider aircraft made of GFRP with excellent glide performance, water ballast and precise handling – ideal for experienced pilots.

ASW 24 – High-performance sailplane of the 15-metre class

The ASW 24 is a single-seat high-performance sailplane of the 15-metre class and has been specially developed for modern competitive gliding. It originated with Alexander Schleicher and was designed as a systematic further development of earlier ASW models, with the aim of achieving maximum performance while at the same time providing precise handling.

In terms of design, the ASW 24 is made entirely of glass-fiber-reinforced plastic (GRP). The aerodynamically optimized wings, the very slender fuselage and modern profiles ensure excellent glide performance and high efficiency in fast flight. In addition, the ASW 24 is equipped with water ballast, which allows it to be optimally adapted to different weather and competition conditions.

Flying, the ASW 24 is clearly aimed at experienced pilots. It reacts very directly and sensitively to control inputs and demands clean, precise flight technology. In thermals, it convinces with good climbing ability, while in fast flight between winds it plays out its full performance. This makes it ideal for demanding route flights and high-class competitions.

The ASW 24 achieved numerous successes at national and international championships and is still considered one of the most powerful glider pilots in its class. It stands for technical precision, sporting standards and the consistent further development of competitive gliding.
