About this video
This summary brings together ten complete teaching chapters from our own SPL courses in a new series of topics. The 3D models, explanations and exercise questions come from the courses Basics of Flying as well as flight performance and flight planning. It contains existing course material and is not a newly filmed documentation. The chapters deal first with the formation of buoyancy and resistance, then the polars and the gliding under different wind conditions. The examples serve for understanding; the flight manual, up-to-date information and one’s own training determine the practical application.
