IATA estimates the increase in global air freight demand in July 2026 to 3.9 percent compared to the previous year. Capacity growth remained below; in particular Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America contributed to the increase.

Ethiopian Airlines orders eight Boeing 777-8 freighters and two other 777Fs. The machines are to expand the global freight network; the new order complements already ordered 777-9 for passenger traffic.
The first A350F test carrier has flown for the first time. The flight marks the start of a new phase of the test programme; the freighter version extends the A350 family with an aircraft specially developed for freight transport.
According to IATA, global air freight demand increased by 4.4 percent in August 2026 compared with the previous year. At the same time, the available capacity decreased slightly and all regions covered reported growth in demand.
