IATA announced its World Sustainability Symposium for the 13th and 14th October 2026. The event was designed to bring together experts from aviation, energy, finance and politics on fuels and the framework conditions of decarbonisation.

Study sees additional SAF demand by companies

IATA, Airbus and Accenture see a potential of up to 1.9 million tonnes of SAF by 2030 through company purchases of corresponding environmental attributes. The prerequisite is, among other things, clearer accounting rules and simpler procurement methods.
