CASE SPRING / KNOWLEDGE FOR YOUR ENTRY

From the student to his own license.

Examinations, training certificates and differences between German aviation licence and USPA A License.

What conclusion is meant?

The German jumper license is the aeronautical license for air sports equipment drivers with the corresponding authorization for jump parachutes. An AFF degree is a training stage on the way there. Ask each offer what qualification you actually achieve.

Theory and Practice in Germany

The training shall include theory, practical skills and documented training achievements. After the test maturity has been established, the prescribed tests shall be carried out. The DFV lists seven theoretical subject areas: air law, freefall, meteorology, technology, behaviour in special cases, aerodynamics and human performance.

The DFV also describes two practical jumps. The examination contents, current proof and application documents are discussed with your training management.

Example USA: USPA A License

For its A License, the USPA lists a total of 25 documented jumps, the fully signed Progression Card and practical, written and oral examinations. The jump number alone is therefore not sufficient. The A License is a different license way than the German permission.
