Step by step into the open cockpit

Twist and plan
Get to know aircraft and school. Discuss training objectives, suitability, available dates and cost breakdown. A seat rehearsal and a flight with an instructor create a good basis for decision-making.
Theory and first flight practice
Weather, navigation, rules and technology are linked to the first double-seater flights. On the ground, preparation and controls are on the program; fundamental relationships are developed in the air.
Take-off, round and landing
Many repeated exercises create safety in dealing with the trike. This includes different airfields and preparation for special situations. Mandatory are the training programme and the flight manual of the type.
Single-flight clearance
The flight instructor assesses your maturity and releases the appropriate exercises. Sole flying hours are built up systematically. A schedule or minimum number of hours does not replace this individual release.
Overland and examination preparation
Flight planning, orientation and decisions on the road are brought together. Prior to the examination, the level of training, the evidence and open learning fields are checked together.
Testing and safe flight practice
After theory and practical examination, the license processing follows. Afterwards, schedule regular flights and refresher with a teacher if necessary. Additional permissions are purchased separately.

How long does the training take?

This depends on weather, dates, arrival and learning progress. Regular appointments help to tie in with the previous lesson. If you travel far, you should ask before a compact course explicitly for weather buffers, replacement dates and accommodation costs.

The DULV calls for the standard path without prior training 25 hours of practice, of which at least 10 with teacher and 5 alone. This is the minimum requirement, not a fixed number until personal examination maturity.
